Joe & Dough is a local Singapore brand founded in 2009 with the simple dream of making great specialty coffee. and handmade desserts that are accessible to everyone From creating our own coffee blends to insisting on baking our own bread. We pride ourselves on providing only what we are truly proud of. For over a decade, Joe & Dough has built a reputation as a purveyor of handmade bakery products and specialty coffee with the reliability gained from doing it right. From delicious all-day breakfasts to wholesome main meals. We serve good, honest food prepared by people who care. Joe & Dough currently has 12 branches in Singapore and 4 in Jakarta.
Joe & Dough
Joe is an abbreviation for Coffee, inspired by American slang for a cup of Joe. The story goes that Admiral Joe Josephus Daniels, then Secretary of the Navy, During World War I, alcohol was banned on U.S. Navy ships. The easy loss of booze caused sailors to drink more coffee. It was named “Joe’s Glass” as a sarcastic and tragic homage to Joe.
“Dough” refers to the bread, cakes and pastries that we bake fresh every day, so “Joe & “Dough” represents our core product range. That is coffee and handmade bakery items.

What are the characteristics of a good croissant? A glass with a rich, buttery aroma. Bake until the perfect golden caramel color. Complete with beautiful scalding fire that will pop, fall apart and melt in your mouth. Leading to harmonious flavors that dance on your palate.
We produce traditional breads and pastries at our own bakery. The same goes for our baked goods. Many of our cakes and pastries are handmade without any preservatives. The great taste of our baked goods comes not only from sourcing the best ingredients. But it also comes from the years of experience combining traditional and modern techniques of our skilled pastry chefs. We take great pride in serving our customers delicious homemade cakes made from the finest ingredients and packed with rich flavour.
Our all-day dining menu features contemporary and gourmet cuisine with a twist. It was inspired by the flavors of the region and the co-founders’ travel experiences.
